Al Matavao to face Gregory Rodrigues at LFA 102 as Co-Main Event Middleweight bout
LFA 102 Co-Main Event fighters were looking to avenge their DANA WHITE CONTENDER SERIES losses
Gregory “Robocop” Rodrigues, a 29-year-old MMA Veteran from Manaus, Brazil, is now fighting out of Sanford, Florida. This fighter has the height, the reach, the striking, and the experience in Ju-Jitsu. He holds a record of 7 wins and three losses.
Rodrigues last fought in the Contender series in September 2020, where he was knocked out early in the first round by Jordan Williams.
This Friday is Rodrigues’s second fight in LFA. The first time was in 2019 where he won against Tanner Saraceno via Unanimous Decision.
Rodrigues is super excited about this fight. His opponent is none other than the Al “Sweetness” Matavao. Born in American Samoa, Al moved to Alaska and started training in Boxing, Ju-Jitsu, and Muay Thai.
Matavao last fought in the Contender series in September 2020, where he was knocked in the second round by Tafon Nchukwi.
