Bellator 279 result: Lance Gibson Jr.’s dominant win against Nainoa Dung

The Gibson Family was no stranger to entering an enemy territory in Hawaii.

Lance Gibson Sr., a retired MMA and UFC Veteran, fought several times at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, for Superbrawl fights 4,5,10, and 13.

So for Lance Jr. to be walking at Neal S. Blaisdell was like walking in memory lane through his father’s stories rather than in walking in enemy territory.  The Hawaiians welcomed Lance Gibson Jr. and the rest of the team with respect and Aloha.

Lance Gibson Jr. faced adversities against hometown boy Nainoa Dung, dropping him early at the beginning of the round.

As per Gibson Jr. post fight interview, that drop inspired Gibson Jr. to perform to his best abilities and continued to dominate the entire three rounds.

Lance Gibson Jr. (6-0) defeated Nainoa Dung (4-3) via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-25, 30-25)
