Combat Night MMA Result: Ramon Taveras finishes Martin Day to become the new Champion

Round 1 is all it took for Ramon Taveras to finish former UFC Veteran Martin “The Spartan” Day, flying from Hawaii to Florida for a chance to bring the Bantamweight Championship home.

Martin Day was supposed to fight Steven Koslow for the title, but Koslow pulled out for an unknown reason. Ramon Taveras stepped in to take the title fight. 

During the Face-offs, Ramon Taveras didn’t t not shook hands with Martin, instead whispering some “My City Baby, This shit stays right here.” – shit referring to the belt which as outrages many in Hawaii. We don’t care how hammah of a fighter you are Ramon, but you should learn how to respect opponent.” 

Although there wasn’t a cosmic justice in Ramon’s attitude, Martin Day still showed respect and accepted defeat like a real man. in the end Martin Day posted on his Instagram congratulating the winner:
