Central Arena, Idaho – Shojin Miki’s career is blossoming with three submission wins in a row and a Flyweight Championship title to put on top.
Shojin Miki improved to 10 – 8 last weekend, submitting the hometown hero – Freddy Arteaga, on a third of the fight. The stake couldn’t be bigger, the Front Street Fights Flyweight Championship was on the line, as well as Shojin Miki’s two consecutive submission wins.
Cornered by UFC fighters Tyson Nam (Hawaii) and Ricky Simon going to the fight, Shojin Miki came out on top.
Shojin Miki reflected on the fight his Instagram post:
“Thank you to everyone who helped me prepare for this fight for those who took the time to fly out with me to corner me and all those from the beginning who helped build that foundation.
In reflection of my fight… I have more things to work on. I feel like I could’ve capitalized on a bit more. But I am glad I didn’t rush things and stuck to the game plan of keeping range and wearing on my opponent til he was more tired than me.
Am just glad to be home. And very thankful to everyone who has put their trust and knowledge toward helping me to become the best I can be.
We keep on keeping on! ✊
