UFC 276: Brad Tavares is scheduled to fight Dricus Du Plessis on July 2 at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas

The Hawaiian Legend Brad Tavares returns to the UFC cage on July 2 at T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Brad Tavares currently has two win streaks in UFC, going for his 20th career victory as a professional fighter. His records of 4-1 (The Ultimate Fighter) and 13 – 6 in UFC surpasses the Middleweight GOAT like Anderson Silva in terms of the number of wins in the division.

Twelve years in the UFC, Brad Tavares is second to Michael Bisping with the most victories in UFC middleweight history.

Fighting Brad Tavares is Dricus Du Plessis

Dricus “STILLKNOCKS” Du Plessis

Dricus is a 28-year-old fighter from South Africa. Dricus holds a record of 16 wins and two losses.

Nine submissions and seven by knockouts

Dricus has a 100 percent finishing rate.

16-2 as a professional, Du Plessis, a former EFC middleweight champion, debuted in the UFC back in October 2020 on ‘Fight Island’ – stopping Markus Perez with a first-round barrage.

The victory came as Du Plessis’ sixth via knockout – before his seventh professionally against Giles.

The South African finisher also is the owner of nine submission victories and, notably, stopped current KSW middleweight and welterweight champion Roberto Soldic with a 2018 second-round knockout at KSW 43.

Du Plessis was recently scheduled to fight against Julian Marquez at UFC 273 earlier this month. However, instead was drafted in to fight one-time interim middleweight title challenger Kelvin Gastelum – before the latter was forced to withdraw, leaving Du Plessis opponent-less.

 Very dangerous upcoming fighter.
