Ty Gwerder and Canaan Kawaihae bagged the Wins at United Fight League last Saturday, August 12, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona, at the latest Semi-Gand Final Grand Prix for Middleweight and Featherweight.
Both Hawaiians advance to the finals, due later this year. (TBA).
Co-Main Event: Canaan Kawaihae defeated Chris Mecate; the fight was done before it began. Canaan Kawaihae did his best: catch the opponent in a tight guillotine choke. His skill level in Jui-jitsu was so advanced that Mecate, a formidable opponent from Cali, couldn’t get out and was forced into submission.

The Main Event: Ty Gwerder settled the score with Shane Sobnosky. He successfully avenged his knockout loss last time. A hard-fought battle was won against the very first man who knocked him out.
