X1 World Events #48 -Results- August 12, 2017

X-1 World Evnets MMA Hawaii

On August 12 at the Blaisdell Arena, fan favorite Ray “Braddah” Cooper III (12-3) will take on one of the biggest challenges of his professional career as he faces the veteran fighter Charles “Felony” Bennett (30–32–2) aka “Kaos Kid” “Krazy Horse” hailing from Ocala Florida for this main event bout. Bennett has been fighting professionally sinceSeptember 1, 1999. This is Bennett’s second trip the the Hawaii Islands to compete his first suffering a decision loss to local boy Johnavan Vistante.  Braddah is known for his exciting fight to the death mindset and is slated as next big thing coming out of Hawaii. Another win in the X1 cage would be widely respected across the industry, especially as he continues to climb the ranks of dominant fighters sharing the aloha. This fight will be for the 170lb X1 World Title.

“The Molokai Cowboy” Sale Sprout (4-2-) will be making his much awaited return to Oahu for the co-main event against Rafael Brewster (4-0) fighting out of Portland, Oregon. Sproat’s last fight in Honolulu was in 2013, but after shaking off the cage rust in Maui late last year, adding another win to the record, he is ready to remind the fans what they have been missing. The bout will be for the 185 lb X1 World Title.

Undefeated Russell “Da Muscle” Mizuguchi (2-0) may only have a few fights under him as a pro, but his 9-0 amateur record still speaks volumes as to what this Hilo fighter is capable of. He will face off against Michael “Baby Godzilla” Nakagawa (4-2) who is also no stranger to the cage having fought previously for X1 as an amateur before making waves across the west coast as a pro.

In a much anticipated match up X1 title holder, Chris Cisneros will take on Zane Kamaka has been canceled due to a lack of professionalism. Both these fighters made a statements that they intended to fight on the Aug 12 card then both signed contracts with other promotions in conflict with X1. This bout could have easily make fight of the night. The two faced off during the intermission at X1 #47 giving the crowd a visual preview of the conviction these two have to beat each other. Maybe on another occasion this one will happen.
